Today is the last day of our school week, do you know what day it is? https://youtu.be/p833Tt_n974
Singing – Here’s a little song to help you learn the days of the week. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXMofxtDPUQ&vl=es
Phonics – Today I’d like you to play a rhyming game using farm animals. Can you think of words that rhyme with hen? cat? Dog? Pig? Can you think of other animals and rhyming words?
Maths – If you’ve got some paints, can you get them now, if you don’t will you get some coloured pencils or pens out please. Can you use your painted fingertips or pencils to draw the correct number of eggs next to the hen. 29.1.21 – add eggs
Guess the animals – You’ll need a bag and some small world animals. If you don’t have these, just some random small items. Before you place the objects in the bag have a good look at them, do you know what they all are? Now put your hand in the bag to get an object, don’t pull it out just have a good feel. You mustn’t look at it. What do you think it is? Now have a look, where you right?
Mask making – You’ll need a paper plate and maybe some paper, glue, paint or colouring pens for this. Can you make an animal mask.
Bread making – Just like the little red hen, today we are going to make some bread. Maybe you could use your dough to make a loaf or some buns, or maybe you could make a pizza base with it. Don’t forget to cook it and share with your family. Enjoy.
Junk modelling – If you have any time left and still have some things from your recycling why not try and make an animal. It could be one from a farm, or a zoo, from under the sea or even a made up animal.
Story time – And here’s a lovely story to finish off the week. Try and listen for the rhyming words. https://youtu.be/EPmKOM4idmw
Stay safe and enjoy your weekend. x
