Hello everyone, we hope you had a lovely weekend!

Let’s start our day in the normal way by updating our calendar and our morning prayers.

Literacy – This week our story is going to be The Three Billy Goats Gruff.  Have you heard this story before?  Do you have the book?  Here’s Mrs Robinson reading the story for you.  We hope you enjoy it.  Can you tell your grown up what the story was about?  Who were the characters?  Where was it set – a castle or under the sea?

Puppets – As normal, here are the puppets that I would have in class.  1.2.21 – puppets billy goats

Maths – The three Billy Goats Gruff are all different sizes.  Can you put these into size order.  1.2.21 – Size ordering

I’d also like you to watch this about the number two.  We’re going to be looking quite a bit at this number this week.

What’s at a farm? Have you been to a farm before? What did you see? What else is there at farms?  What noises do the animals make?  Other than animals, what else is there at a farm?  /

Let’s get moving.  The billy goats travelled over the bridge and the troll lived under the bridge.  Today I’d like you to create an obstacle courser where you can go over and under some things.  Maybe you could also go through some things.  Do you have a duvet cover you could go under, or a load of cushions you could climb over?

Cutting – Can you cut out some of these and make a collage.  2.2.21

Nursery rhyme – we are going to practice a different nursery rhyme every day.  Some you might already know and some you might not.  Please practice and then practice a bit more.  Today it’s The Wheels on the Bus.

Kindness Tree – Wow, you were all so kind last week.  Here is a video of some of the ways that you helped others, I’m sure there were many other ways.  We hope you enjoy it.

Later on in the week, we’ll be building bridges using recycled objects so it might be a good idea to start collecting whatever you can.

Stay safe x
