Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a lovely week.
Let’s start off our day by watching this. 14.1.21 – internet
Literacy – Today I’d like you to watch the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zurz-pL-uzw&t=9s
Next, I’d like you to get a big piece of paper and do me a beautiful drawing from the story. Maybe you could draw Jack or maybe the giant or even the cow.
Maths – We are going to try and put these beanstalks in order from smallest to biggest. 14.1.21 – sizing beanstalk
Maybe you could put some of your toys in order from smallest to biggest too.
If you have some spare time, why not try playing the game from yesterday. https://www.topmarks.co.uk/early-years/lets-compare.
RE – Today we are going to try and learn the family prayer called the Our Father. You might have to watch this a couple of times, but keep practising and you’ll soon start remembering it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlBK97Q4Ae8
Next, you are going to make a huge beanstalk. Can you please get some paper and cut out some big leaves. Your next job is to colour them in. I’d like you then to also make a beanstalk by scrunching up some paper, newspaper would be good if you have it. And finally, can you attach your leaves to the beanstalk. How are you going to do that? Are you going to use glue, sellotape, a stapler or something else? How big can you make your beanstalk?
Pencil control – can you find a ziplock bag? You’ll need to fill it with some thick liquid, like paint or PVA glue, you could even add some glitter and then zip it up. Next find a pencil, paintbrush or something similar and practise writing your letters. Can you write your name?
Singing – here’s a link to a song that you all know – Jesus is my best friend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tER4Jx6LyZk
Have a lovely day and stay safe.
