Hello boys and girls I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s work.  We are really enjoying seeing your work and lovely smiling faces on the photos.

We are so looking forward to us all being back together again, I’m sure you’ll have lots of lovely stories to share.

Let’s start our day in the normal way. 19.1.21 – internet

Here are some jobs I’d like you to do today.

Literacy – first, I’d like you to listen to this story.  Make sure you are sitting still, have your listening ears switched on and look at the story book.

Phonics – please open this link, listen and join in, I think you’ll enjoy it.

Maths – the story talks a lot about the different size of things – Daddy has a big bed, mammy has a medium bed and baby bear has a tiny bed.  So I’d like you to continue practicing putting these things in order of size.  You might want to start with three items and when you get really good at that, you could include more.   19.1.21 – sizing

Song Time – There’s a great song I think we should learn. Here is a link to the song.

And here are the words 21.1.21 – song

Talk with your grown-up about what you have had today for your breakfast.  What do you like about this? What have they had?  What about the others in your house?  Do you all like to eat the same thig or different things?  Are there any breakfast foods that you would like to try? Are there any breakfast foods that you definitely do not want to try? Why not?  Maybe you could try these foods over the next week or so.

Pencil Control – Here are a few sheets for you to practice your pencil control. Maybe you can use these before you use the ziplock bag we made last week and practice some of your letters. Can you write the letter m and maybe your name.  19.1.21 – pencil control

Threading – It seems that lots of you enjoyed threading last week, so I thought we’d have another go based around our story this week.  Don’t worry if you can’t print these off, just use what you used last week.  19.1.21 – threading

Don’t forget to keep practicing with your jumper.

Stay safe and look after each other x
