Hello to you all, can you believe that it’s already the last school day for this week.
Weather Update – Let’s put our coats on and go outside and see what the weather is like. Is it raining? Is it sunny? Is it windy? Do you think it might snow today? Remember to update your weather calendar. We’d love to see you weekly weather calendar, don’t forget to email your photos into school. Can you remember what the weather has been like on the different days this week?
Phonics – You might want to find some things from around the house to help you, or you might just want to use your voice. What do you think it sounds like when it rains? Can you make the sound? What do you think it sounds like when it is windy? Can you make the sound? What do you think it sounds like when its thundering? Are there any other types of weather that you could make the sound of?
Observe – Today I’d like you to carefully pick your moment to go outside and do some observations. You might want to see if you can find some puddles, or a rainbow or make shadows. All of these come from the weather! Can you spend some time talking about them with your grown up.
Picture time – Which is your favourite season? Can you make me a picture of it.
Nursery Rhyme – Here’s our nursery rhyme for today. https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/nursery-rhymes-doctor-foster-went-to-gloucester/zhkf6v4
Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 22nd February to 8th March this afternoon we are going to spend some time looking at Fair Trade. Do you know what that is? I’ve attached a grid which gives you some choices about what you could do. At school, we are going to make a pancake using at least one Fair Trade ingredient. Fair trade Home Learning
