Happy Friday everyone!
Today is the last day of school for this week, you’re all doing so very well!
Let’s start our day in the normal way with our calendar and prayers. https://youtu.be/s6p52Hlyg2s
Literacy – Let’s create a reading den! Have you got a blanket or a duvet hand for the roof? What could you use for the walls? Get building that den. Next you’ll need your favourite story books, maybe a cushion and some healthy snacks. Go on, hide away and enjoy your books. I wonder what books you’ll take into your den.
Maths – This week we have been looking at the number two, can you please go and get me 2 of lots of different things. Maybe you could get me 2 forks or even 2 cars.
RE – Let’s start by singing the song from Tuesday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFeccE4gv8s.
Talk about a typical day with the children. Make a collage or picture of things that you do together as a family at home. Talk to the children about what they like to do together at Nursery.
Collage – What do you think a goat’s skin feels like? Does it feel the same as yours? Does it feel the same as a fish? Today I’d like you to paint or draw me a goat and if you have any material that you could stick on that might feel like like a goat’s fur, that would be great.
Cooking time – today I’d like you to try cooking something again. Maybe you could use the same bread recipe from last and make some bread buns or pizzas.
Nursery Rhyme – Today our nursery rhyme is I can sing a rainbow. We love this one. https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/nursery-rhymes-i-can-sing-a-rainbow/zn3tqp3
Well being – It’s Children’s Mental Health Week this week, Here is a link to a website with some lovely resources. Please read the focus this week for more information on how we’re going to use it in school. Express Yourself! https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/parents-and-carers/
Story Time – Here’s a lovely story to finish off the week with. I bet you have lots of amazing story books, so you can choose one of them to read or you could read this one which is read by one of our lovely Year 6 children. https://youtu.be/YasX_6aGe3g
Stay safe and have a lovely weekend. x
