Happy Tuesday children!
Good morning everyone, we hope you are all well!
Let’s start our day in the normal way updating our calendar and saying our morning prayers. https://youtu.be/0voBMezvTYw
Literacy – Here is a lovely story about some animals. Make sure you are sitting comfortable, have your listening ears ready and remember to sit still. https://youtu.be/E6RqqDKEGJIhttps://youtu.be/E6RqqDKEGJI.
Once you have watched and listened to the story can you tell me what it was about? Who were the characters? Where was it set?
Phonics – Can you listen to this and join in. https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/eyfs-listen-and-play-jiggly-piggly/z6hh7nb. If you have time, you might want to think of some rhyming words – what rhymes with pig?
Maths – Our number this week is the number 3! Here’s a nice song for you to sing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-SeOeSo7gY
RE – This week, our key words are: welcome, listen, pray, mass, blessing and sing. Can you have a look at this picture, it shows how the parish family gather for Mass. Churchs Story 2 – Pg 6-7
- What can you see in the picture?
- Where are the people going to?
- What are the people standing at the door doing?
Can you talk to your grown up about going to Church. When you were last there, what did you see? What did you hear?
Think about the Big Bad Wolf. Can you discuss this character with your grown up. What was his behaviour like? Why? Are there any other reasons why he might be trying to blow the little pigs’ houses down?
Let’s make a pig. Do you have some play doh or salt doh? I’d like you to make a pig, don’t forget to add a curly tail and a snout.
Nursery Rhyme – I bet you already know this one, but let’s practice anyway. https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/nursery-rhymes-baa-baa-black-sheep/znbbpg8.
Cutting – Here are some cutting sheets you might want to use. Maybe you could make a card for one of the pigs. cutting
Story Time – Here is a story read by one of our Year 6 children. We hope you enjoy it. https://youtu.be/PgubC1hbbTc
