Good morning everyone …. it’s almost Friday!

Today we will be doing English, Maths, Geography, PE and we’ll end with our story. Today I will be feeding back on Geography.

Remember you can login into Oxford Owl using the username and passwords y2smst. Once you’ve logged in, I would recommend that you click on the level at the right hand side. Move it down to the Book Band level Turquoise. Then today I’d recommend that you read the story ‘The top of the Taj Mahal’.

Please don’t worry if you’re reading something else at home – keep reading that!

The focus in English today is questions. We’ll be thinking about question words and how we punctuate a question. Miss Robinson is teaching English today so you need to listen to her PowerPoint presentation and then complete the task.

Questions activity

In maths we will continue with our addition of two digit numbers where the ones bridge through ten. Please watch the last part of the video from yesterday if you need to, to remind yourself how to record this as a pictorial representation.

Adding 2 digit numbers

Today in Geography we will be thinking about some landmarks in London. Can you think what a landmark is? Watch the PowerPoint presentation which explains this and then allows you to explore and find out some information about London Landmarks.

Then you need to choose 4 landmarks, you can stick the photo in and then write a few facts about these landmarks.

Perhaps when you’ve finished you may want to use Google Maps to see if you can find some of the landmarks in London.

For today’s PE lesson I will post a Joe Wicks workout. I know many of you are doing other active actives instead of this. That’s great, please keep these up.

In our Google Classroom session at 2.45 pm we will listen to Chapter 6 of our story ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. However, I will the put video up in case anyone isn’t able to join us for the Google Classroom session.

Thank you once again for all of your hard work.

Take care

Mrs Gourley :-)
