Good morning!
I hope that everyone is well. Today we will be doing English, Maths, Science and Handwriting. Today I will feedback on your Science.
Remember we are going to meet together using Google Classroom at 2.45 pm this afternoon. Could I please ask that you don’t bring any teddies to our meetings or put a background on your screen? It’s difficult to see you properly because you fade in and out of the backdrop. It is also very distracting when you keep changing it. Thank you. We will play a maths game today. Could you have your digit cards ready please?
Reading
Please keep reading. Try to read a little bit every day. Remember you can login into Oxford Owl using the username and passwords y2smst. Once you’ve logged in, I would recommend that you click on the level at the right hand side. Move it down to the Book Band level Turquoise. Then today I’d recommend that you read the book ‘The Portrait Problem’.
Please don’t worry if you’re reading something else at home – keep reading that!
English
Maths
In maths today you will look at using pictorial representations to subtract 2 digit numbers. You need to watch the video first before you begin your task.
Science
In science we continue learning about animals and humans. In today’s lesson we focus on healthy eating and why it is important for our bodies. Click here to watch the video and then complete the worksheet. By the end of the lesson, you will know each food group and will be able to describe the benefits and will have designed your own healthy meal! Miss Robinson 🙂
Handwriting
Today in handwriting we will look at the letter m. Watch the video carefully and remember to keep pausing it to give you plenty of time to rehearse the letter combinations and words.
Hope you all have a great day!
Mrs Gourley 🙂
