Good morning Year 2!
Today on our timetable we have English, Maths, French and PE. We’ll end the day with the next part of our story ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. Today I will feedback on your Maths work.
We’ll be meeting once again on Google Classroom at 9.00am and 2.45pm.
Please keep reading. Try to read a little bit every day. Remember you can login into Oxford Owl using the username and passwords y2smst. Once you’ve logged in, I would recommend that you click on the level at the right hand side. Move it down to the Book Band level Turquoise. Then today I’d recommend that you read the book ‘The Big Breakfast’.
Please don’t worry if you’re reading something else at home – keep reading that!
Miss Robinson is leading your English lesson today.
Today you will look for some spoken words form the story Little Red Riding. You need to read the speech very carefully and identify which character said it. If you need to listen to the story once again, look at the video on Yesterday’s home learning page. Work your way through Miss Robinson’s PowerPoint for further instructions before cutting and matching the spoken words to the correct character.
You may have some empty boxes next to a couple of your characters. Perhaps you could think of some other speech they may have said, even if this is not in the story. For example Little Red Riding Hood may have said “What beautiful flowers!” as she was walking through the woods.
In maths today you will look at how many coins are need to make a certain value. You will be using the same coin. Look at the video below where I work through several examples with you.
Today in French you will be learning about the days of the week. Click here to access Mrs Innerdale’s French lesson.
Mrs Innerdale has asked that you send her your drawings and labeling. Please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org
Today Miss Robinson has recorded a fun filled PE lesson for you. Watch the video very carefully, listen to Miss Robinson’s instructions and keep pausing the video throughout to give yourself plenty of time. Mrs. Gourley has just done Miss Robinson’s PE lesson and I can confirm – it’s lots of fun, but very tiring!
Today we will listen to Chapter 14 of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We will listen to this in our Google Meet. If you are unable to attend then you can listen to it on the video link below.
