Happy Wednesday Year 2!
It’s a ‘wonderful Wednesday’ today because it is Zach’s birthday! Happy Happy Birthday Zach!
Today on our timetable we have English, Maths, Science and Handwriting. I will feedback on your Science work today.
We’ll be meeting on Google Classroom today at 9.00am and at 2.45pm. At 9.00 we’ll be talking about our learning today, please bring your ticks and crosses and then at 2.45pm we’ll be playing a different maths game. You need to have some digit cards ready with the digits 0-9 written on.
Please keep reading. Try to read a little bit every day. Remember you can login into Oxford Owl using the username and passwords y2smst. Once you’ve logged in, I would recommend that you click on the level at the right hand side. Move it down to the Book Band level Turquoise. Then today I’d recommend that you read the book ‘Extinct Giants’.
Please don’t worry if you’re reading something else at home – keep reading that!
In English today you will complete a reading comprehension exercise linked to Little Red Riding Hood. If you need to listen to the story again first click on the link below.
In Maths today we will continue to work on money. Today we will be looking at some problems. We need to calculate how many more coins a person needs to collect to reach their target. Watch the video very very carefully and I will work through some examples with you.
Miss Robinson is teaching your science today.
Today is the final lesson of our current topic “Human lifestyles”. You have learned all about the parts of a human body, their functions and how to stay healthy. Today, we look at whose job it is to keep us healthy. Watch and listen to the PowerPoint presentation and pause the video to complete each section on the worksheet.
Well done for all of your hard work this term in science and remember to stay active, safe and healthy! Miss Robinson
Today in handwriting we will be working on the letter ‘w’. Take you time and remember to keep pausing the video throughout.
I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday.
Mrs Gourley 🙂
