Good morning Year 2! Happy FINAL day of home learning!
On our timetable we have English, Maths, Handwriting and PE. I will feedback on your English work today.
We will have our class call at 2.45pm. I hope that you can all join us for our Collective Worship.
As we prepare to return to school, it is important that we remind ourselves how to stay safe and clean. Our year 6 school councilors have created a short video to remind us all of the importance of washing our hands.
Please keep reading. Try to read a little bit every day. Remember you can login into Oxford Owl using the username and passwords y2smst. Once you’ve logged in, I would recommend that you click on the level at the right hand side. Move it down to the Book Band level Purple. Then today I’d recommend that you read the book ‘Way out, Day out’.
Please don’t worry if you’re reading something else at home – keep reading that!
In English today we will look at words we can use instead of ‘said’. Work your way through the PowerPoint and then create some sentences using a variety of said words.
In maths today we will continue our work with block diagrams. You will complete your own survey linked to a topic of your choice. You may want to work further on something we have started these past two weeks; traffic count, things you see on a walk, colour of sweets, coloured Lego blocks or something else of your choice. You may want to gather your information using a tally chart. Then record your results in the form of a block diagram. You can choose whether you’d like it to count in steps of 2, 5 or 10.
If you’d like to complete more that one survey, you’re more than welcome! 🙂
In handwriting today we will look at writing some words. Today we will write the days of the week.
In PE today I have the final Joe Wicks workout! Have fun!
Thank you for all of your hard work during lockdown. You have all been shining superstars, as have your parents and helpers. THANK YOU everyone!
Have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to seeing you all on Monday for a fun filled day!
Mrs Gourley 🙂
