Good morning Year 3.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. On our Google Classroom meet this morning, I would like you to tell me about your favourite task from the previous week, so you had best get thinking 🙂

Today you will complete English, Math, Geography and Music. I will be feeding back on your Geography task today.

English

Today in English we are going to carry on with our persuasive writing task using our book, The Day The Crayons Quit. You will be thinking about the way the crayons felt and why. Using this information you will be expressing opinions and giving reasons for them. For this task you will need the characters you created last lesson.

Math

I would like you to carry on with the work you began on Friday when you were multiplying 2 digits by 1 digit numbers. You can still use the same resources you did on Friday to help you. Try your best with the worksheet and video.

Geography

As part of our geography topic on flow, you will investigate the uses of rivers. Read through the slides which detail the different uses of a river and then complete the worksheet to inform me about the different uses of rivers, the positive effects this may have and the negative effects. I am feeding back on this work today so I am very excited to see what you write.

Music

For your music lesson today, you will build on the skills from last week. Today you will use your body for percussion and play along to a fantastic song!

Spellings

I have set you a new list of spellings for this week. You are going to look at the prefix ‘re’. Spend time each day practicing your spellings ready for the test on Friday mornings.

Don’t forget I will be announcing Rock Star Champion of the week on Friday too so use this to practice your 4 times table (which will help you on Wednesday’s bingo game too)

I hope you enjoy your tasks today.
