Good morning Year 3.
Today is a very special day. It is World Book Day. Remember to bring your prop to our Google Classroom meeting and you can explain how this links to your favourite book.
Today you are going to complete your Math and English as normal but this afternoon, I would like you to take part in World Book Day celebrations.
English
To begin with, please listen to this reading of Chapter 14.
When you have completed this, I would like you to read Chapter 15 and answer the comprehension questions on this. Once you have completed this task, I would like you to make connections between your own life and the life of one of the characters.
Math
For your Math task today, I would like you to use tables to gain information. Follow the instructions in the video and then complete the worksheet below.
World Book Day
To celebrate world book day in school and at home, we are going to look at After the Fall by Dan Santat. Use the link below to listen to the story.
Below you will find activities linked to the book which you can complete. Choose at least two of the activities and send us some pictures of your World Book Day adventures.
I have also given you a Book Hunt Challenge to complete! Please ask someone in your house to print off the book covers and hide them around the house. You then have to search for the book covers and put the missing letter on your hunt sheet. When you have collected all of the missing letters, you need to unscramble the message! Make sure you include the message in your emails to me later today.
World Book Day 2021 – Book Hunt Challenge!
Enjoy your tasks today, I am looking forward to receiving your work later.
