Hello Year 4!
I hope you all had a brilliant weekend – can’t wait to see you all on our call at 9am. Today on our timetable we have Maths, English, RE and PE. Have fun! Remember to send your completed work to firstname.lastname@example.org – I will be providing feedback for RE 🙂
Today we start our new topic – fractions. We’re starting off by recapping some of the learning from Year 3 before building up our skills and knowledge over the next two weeks. Have fun and follow the instructions in the lesson.
Today you will be studying one of John Lyon’s poems called Carib Nightfall. Listen carefully to the lesson and complete the task set at the end.
Challenge: As an extra challenge to the task set in the lesson can you challenge yourself to writing another verse in the style of John Lyons? I will select a few to read out tomorrow in our call so we can celebrate the excellent work everyone is doing!
In RE today we are looking at how people help each other in our community. Listen carefully and then complete the tasks I set for you at the end of the lesson. Some of you may even spot yourselves in the slides!!! Enjoy…
Great fun today, Mr Stewart has set you some Frozen fun and then a Co-ordination Challenge! Can you rise to the challenge?!
Spellings and Times Tables
This week in our spellings we are looking at words ending with the suffix -ly. I will go through them on our call on Tuesday morning this week and there will be a spelling test on our call on Friday.
For our times tables we will be focusing on our 8 and 9 x tables. The test will take place on our call on Thursday morning.
Have fun and see you on our class call tomorrow.
Mrs Myers 🙂
