Hello Year 4!

I hope you all had a brilliant weekend – can’t wait to see you all on our call at 9am. Today on our timetable we have Maths, English, RE and PE. Have fun! Remember to send your completed work to smstyear4@gmail.com – I will be providing feedback for RE 🙂

Maths

Today we start our new topic – fractions. We’re starting off by recapping some of the learning from Year 3 before building up our skills and knowledge over the next two weeks. Have fun and follow the instructions in the lesson.

Today you will be studying one of John Lyon’s poems called Carib Nightfall. Listen carefully to the lesson and complete the task set at the end.

Challenge: As an extra challenge to the task set in the lesson can you challenge yourself to writing another verse in the style of John Lyons? I will select a few to read out tomorrow in our call so we can celebrate the excellent work everyone is doing!
