English

In today’s this lesson, we will be focusing on both the climax and resolution scenes in The Borrowers. We will listen to and interpret each scene and generate sentences to describe the final scenes of the story.

Today’s task: Once the lesson is over I want you to write two paragraphs of at least 5 sentences each describing the climax and the resolution of the story. This will mean that you can put these paragraphs together with the opening and build up paragraphs that you have written over the past week, they will describe the story from Pod being seen by the boy in the opening all the way through to Arrietty being seen by the boy and Pod finding her and taking her home.

Art

Today I would like you to take your learning from last week and design a Viking brooch. You need to decide who you are designing it for – a King, Queen or maybe a warrior and then decide what it will be made of. Then I would like you sketch and label your design saying what it is made of and any other details you would like to include. I have reattached the detail of Viking art from last week for you to re-look at.

Extra activity…

Following your music lesson about rhythm yesterday, I thought you might be interested in trying this… 🙂

Have a great day Year 4!
