Good morning Year 4,
Hope you all enjoyed the sunshine over the weekend… spring is on it’s way 🙂
Welcome to your last week of home learning before we come back together as a class. Keep up the great work this week and I can’t wait to see you all on our morning calls.
Today I have Maths, English, RE and PE for you. Enjoy the lessons and remember to send your completed work to firstname.lastname@example.org – thanks!
Today we continue to practise subtracting fractions. Listen carefully and try as much of the worksheet as you can!
In this lesson we are writing the opening, or introduction, of our explanation text. Remember to try your best as it will help you to write your final piece when we come back to school.
In this lesson, we will be practising and applying knowledge of the -ic suffix. I have set these words as our spellings for this week (which will be tested on Friday) and you can download the spelling sheet below the lesson.
This week we will be learning our 4 x and 8 x tables. Remember to practise as much as you can in lots of different ways. Can you spot any number patterns or rules? Have fun! I will be testing these on Thursday morning.
Today in RE we continue to learn about the third part of the Mass – The Liturgy of the Eucharistic. Our focus today is on the links between The Last Supper – Jesus’ very special meal with his Disciples – and the Eucharistic Prayer. Listen to the lesson carefully and then complete the task at the end. I have included a pdf of the slides, the worksheet and an example of previous work to help you.
For the final lesson of today, have a go at these fun PE challenges. Master some yoga moves and then test you speed in the sock war challenge.
I hope you have a great day Year 4! See you at 9am tomorrow 🙂
