Good morning Year 5.

It’s Friday! Another week of lockdown work completed, well almost, we just need to finish our lessons for today.

Today we will be focused on Maths, English, RE and our Tudor Project.

I will be giving feedback on our English sentences today.

I would like you to read through the PowerPoint I have provided below. If you need to, remind yourself of the video from yesterday’s maths work.

You will be completing the worksheet below which asks you to calculate areas in different ways. Make sure you read the questions carefully and thoroughly before attempting each page.

Today in English we will be looking at using different words within our writing.

I look forward to reading your sentences that will include a variety of different words.

Make sure you keep these safe along with the rest of the English work from this week as it will all help when you come to writing your final report at the end of the topic.

Today in RE I would like you to create your own Collective Worship. The theme of the worship is based on the RE topic we have just completed ‘Mission’.

Think about:

  • What inspires people in their mission?
  • The joys and demands of engaging in a mission.
  • The reasons why people want to help others.

Think about some of the scripture we have shared during this topic:

Luke 4: 14-22

Isaiah 61: 1-2, 10-11

Luke 8: 1-3

John 17: 11-12, 20-23

I Corinthians 12: 12-17, 21, 27

Use the template below and make sure you fill in each section in detail. Once you have created this, ask your family to take part in the worship with you.

Tudor Project:

Week 3 of our Tudor project, remember that you are creating more than just one piece of work to put together in a presentation at the end of the project.

Enjoy your weekend everyone. Make sure you take time to relax.

Take care,

Mr. Craig.
