Good morning Year 5.
Excellent work this week, you’ve jumped straight back into a great routine of completing your home learning tasks. I’m very proud of each and every one of you.
Today our google classroom meeting will begin at the later time of 10:00am. I look forward to seeing you all then.
Today your tasks include, ICT, English, RE and Fairtrade. I will also be explaining what to do with your Tudor project.
In this lesson, we will introduce new vocabulary, identify word pairs and synonyms and apply the vocabulary in sentences.
Today I would like you to read through the lesson presentation below and then answer the following questions:
- What do you think is the meaning of the words: mystery of faith?
- What is the same about these three responses, what is different?
- Recall the work on the Advent/ Christmas topic, Hope, about Jesus coming again at the end of the world, why do you think two of these responses include the words: Until you come again. What do you think this means and why is it here?
- What sacrifice is the Eucharist a memorial of?
Now complete the following worksheet, I’ll explain this in more detail during our morning google meeting at 10am
Use today to create a PowerPoint or a video to present all of your work from your Tudor project. You could explain how you created different parts of your project. You could also use this as a way of performing whatever you have created.
I look forward to seeing your finished project.
Each year our school takes part in Fairtrade Fortnight. We discuss what Fairtrade means and complete many fun activities linked to Fairtrade.
This Fairtrade Fortnight we will come together to learn about, and celebrate, the people who grow our food and drink and explore this years theme ‘Climate, Fairtrade and You’. Through completing some of the activities today, I hope that you will have the opportunity to discover how your choices can make a difference to the lives of people around the world and the planet we share. #ChooseTheWorldYouWant
Before we begin your task, I’d like you to watch this video carefully where Fairtrade is explained to you:
In this 9-minute virtual visit, Claire Arnott from the Fairtrade Foundation explores this years Fairtrade Fortnight theme – Climate, Fairtrade and You.
Now, look at the following lesson and complete the task included.
Finally, I have given you a range of options you can choose from, these are tasks you can complete over the weekend or throughout next week. Make sure you email all of your photos and completed work to me when you are done.
Enjoy your weekend everyone.
Thank you for a great week of home learning.
